I'm sooooo sorry I didn't upload anything the last few weeks T-T' I got so much stuff going on lately.
Anyways... This is a part from "Mapleshade's Vengeance" and I'm planning to do a little series with Mapleshade and this song here. Like I did with "Let Her Go". :3 But I didn't read the book, yet. I'm still working my way through Crookedstar's Promise.
But - as always - I spoiled myself a little bit and I already know how Mapleshade died... and when I heard this song I really, really NEEDED to draw this scene. And many more, because it fits her character so well
I still don't get why she ended up in the Dark Forest and Ashfur didn't. I mean... Mapleshade killed three cats that took part in her downfall, who betrayed her and hurt her deeply. And Ashfur tried the same but didn't succeed, simply because of an accident, but the will to kill three cats was there anyways. So... what the hell?! :/
I didn't read the book, yet, so I think I still don't understand Mapleshade's character in all its facets, but I do believe that her death was just another beginning for her. Her whole life she tried to find love and when she found it and got her kits, everything went down. The love of her life betrayed and even denied her infront of others, her kits died, and the Clans exiled her. She got punished for loving the wrong cat. That's not fair. So her death was her chance to take revenge on the clans.
